Default Transit 2.0 tdci 2006 won`t start after fuel filter change

My Transit 2.0 TDCi will not start after a fuel filter change.
It cranks fine and started little bit in the very beginning but then it died and will not start at all now, no sign of life.
I have cranked it for quite some time, maybe something has been turned off as a security feature?
This is what I`ve checked:
Diesel nozzles, the diesel gets to all four nozzles.
All fuses, even the fuel system cut off switch that is located to the left side of the pedals.
I've tried to tow the van for a long distance To air the system even more.
The immobilizer is fine, I have tried central locking and different keys.
I have charged the battery and tried to jump start it.
The diesel is clear and clean.

The instruction manual says it is a complicated process to bleed/air the system after it has run out of fuel, but it doesn`t tell me how to do this.

Have any of you any more tips on what I can do more?

Thank you

I think air has gone in to the high pressure fuel pump and lines and
it is not enough to just open the nozzles to bleed the air.

How can I pump the air out of the fuel pump and lines?
Will it work to connect something like a hand primer and where
should I connect it?

You need to open the line from the fuel filter to the injection pump and crank the engine. This will allow the trapped air to exit and also allow the fuel filter to fill.
After you have done that now you can open the individual lines to the nozzles and allow the trapped air to exit each line. You may even notice it will try to start on one or two cylinders. If it will attempt to run just hold the throttle full open until the RPM picks up and the engine runs on all cyls. Once it starts to pick up RPM back off and don't over rev the engine.
If that doesn't work, fill the fuel filter with clean fuel and button everything up then crank the engine with any one of the injector lines loose while cranking to allow the trapped air to exit.

Thank you for answering

If you take a look at the picture, Are you able to tell me which line I should open, and should I open it at the filter or the pump?
Is the injectorpump and dieselpump the same pump? A little noob here :P
If I open i.e line nr2 and bleed the air out through the filter, will there not still be air in the line that is opened?
I have tried to see which is the return line, I think it is nr 2.

Is that a fuel primer pump that I see colored yellow?

It is a gizmo to check the quality of the diesel according to the user manual.
Appears to be original from the manufacturer.

Not being there to see/trace the fuel lines what if you tried this?
Remove both fuel lines from the injection pump and pour fuel into each one, this will probably take some doing , but from where I am it seems like it should work.
One of those lines will fill the filter or fuel will have trouble going in. The other one that allows you to add as much as you can will probably be the return line to the tank.
Once you get that determined you will most likely have fuel in the filter for the pump to pull up to the injection pump then you can open one of the lines to the nozzles and let the trapped air get pushed out.
I have worked on just about all diesels , but not your particular model.
I would still try to fill the filter first then crank it with a line open to one of the nozzles.

I will sure give it a try later today, I have heard these vans are a pain to bleed air out of.
I have already tried filling the filter and then opening the nozzles, I comes fuel out of them but there must be air somewhere else because it just wont start.
I will get back to you, thank you for the info
