Post Coolant Leak - Ford Explorer 4.0 2008 Model

The Ford Dealer Workshop in Dubai recently diagnosed that there is a coolant leak from my car. Mine is a 2008 Ford Explorer run 180,000 km (110,000 miles).

No external leak detected even after Pressure testing. The report indicated that burning noted on Spark Plug. The workshop suspects leakage through Head Gasket. The removal, checking and replacement cost is estimated around US $ 2000 plus (Dirham 8000).

Is the recommendation correct? Is there any other way cost effective way of checking whether the leakage is from the Head Gasket?

Should I just sell the car?
