Default C6 - Need some help getting shafted, well re-shafted

Got an 1987 C6 and 460 from a motorhome with only 50K on them. Wanting to put into a 48 F1 Pickup.

The trans has a cast iron output assembly with an attached brake hub assembly for the e-brake, along with a fixed yoke drive shaft coupling.

I need to convert to a slip yoke set up. This requires replacing the output shaft, which requires a near complete R&R of the tranny. OK, so I'm game.

From searching the interwebs, I know there are different length output shafts, etc. However, I plan to use both the output shaft and the tailshaft from the same donor tranny, and length for my app is not a major problem.

What I need to know is;
Will any C6 output shaft and tail, from any year 1966-1996 fit, bolt up, etc, or do I need to remain certain year specific?

Unless someone has actually gone into this work it's difficult to answer.
It might be a good idea to check with some of the trans shops. If switching of certain parts is acceptable , they probably would have an answer.
