Ford Windstar 1996
Ford Windstar, 1995, Power Windows have failed; Passenger Side first. I've checked the fuses, 60A to the Accessory Relay, both 30a on the Fuse Panel. Also power( Pink, and White/Blk) to the Master Switch....all verify as good. I've "swapped" Relays as the Power Door Lock Relay is the same. Relay does not energize....click...when the Master Switch is engaged. I need some direction here. Scamp

Buy another vehicle.
I honestly feel that way about the Windstars. In particular about the 1st generation.
Now if yours is in particular good shape otherwise and if has extra low mileage, than it may be worth while to replace the tranny with a rebuilt one. According to the Haynes manual the home mechanic could pull the tranny and put another one in, but the innards would be best left to a tranny shop. Jo's Windstar Transmission - YouTube
Who diagnosed your blown transmission? "Blown transmission" is a catch all term. Maybe there is something electrical not working? or is it shot mechanically?
I have an 03 Windstar, its doing alright and it looks great inside, and decent enough outside, but it is rusting and if my tranny blew it would be gone-junk yard most likely.
I am in a situation where I can downsize to a family sedan. That would save me almost $100 per month in fuel. (20mpg vs 30 mpg, 20000miles per year).
