I have been advised my rem is bad on my windstar. It is part #1F2SZ13B524AA. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find either a new or old one anywhere. I did find one that had the last two digits of AE. I have also found others with the same last part of the number, but starting with 2F2T. Will any other part work without causing any problems or do I have to keep looking for one with the exact same part number? It is causing my message center to tell me to check right rear taillamp and both filaments of the bulb come on when the lights are turned on and brake lights only come on the left side if lights are on. Any help would be appreciated, or if someone can find one to match, I would appreciate it they would let me know. Thank you for your help.

 

Have you confirmed the ground connection at the rear tail/stop lights? It could be the REM , but a poor ground at the light could result with one system using the other system for a ground and causing both filaments to lite if the correct ground is not present.
