I have a 2000 Tarus with the FFV engine. I have noticed puddles of antifreeze under the passenger side front tire. Looking for the leak I found hairline cracks on the bottom side of the tank and is the only place I can see where the leak could be coming from. Anybody else having problems similar problems with leaking or cracks in their tank???

Also the engine will go for a few days without idling, and then it will start doing it again like nothing happened. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

i think that you need to make sure the the cap on the tank is good if not it can force antifreeze out ...and have your injectors cleaned..
