I own a 2000 focus ZX3. Recently, it began to sputter and stall, I also noticed the RPMS are extreamly low. It feels like the engin is not getting any fuel, so I decided to start with a new fuel filter. Litteraly half way down to the parts house, the check engin lights comes on. To be honest, I was glad to see it so I could just plug it in to the OBD II computer and solve the problem. Those of you who know may have guessed, I was unable to even find the OBD II port. If anybody has had similar problems or anbody has any sugestions, if anybody could just tell me where the OBD II port is, It would really help me out.

Thanks, Drew

Hey people! Ok, I have a 2003 zx3 and the obd II port is just under the steering wheel near the where the fuse box is. There is a pull down tab that says OBD. Open it up and your in business. Also, if you take it to Autozone, they will read it for you for free.

There's also a fuel pump recall that may apply to your vehicle depending on mileage. I'd take it to the dealer and have the pump installed first. According to the recall, any drivability concern will be addressed first by replacing the pump. If that fails to fix the problem then you'll be responsible for whatevers next, whether they diagnose it or you take it elsewhere.

At any rate, thats a good starting point for your troubles.
