I was able to get it likr 1/2 out of park, start it, and shift to drive and go. Today I parked on a hill, and no matter what I cannot get it out of park. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I am not familiar with Taurus's so bare with me. Is the shifter on the center console? I know in my wifes old honda and her new Rav4, and have seen in other models. I belive on the ATX mustangs, there is a thing on the center console that looks like you would put your key in it by the shifter. You put the key in there and turn it one way, and it disables the shift lock
