I have a 92' Taurus that when I start it in the morning, or even at anytime in the day, it starts squiling and this happens all the time lasting a variety of time. It could last as long as 1-2 minutes to lasting at least 10 minutes. What could be the issue, I am thinking that the timing belt can't keep up with the alternator. Am I right or wrong? You can PM me regarding this, or just reply to the post. Thanks again!

Do you mean squeeling? If so, it's probably a belt....especially when it's colder out. Check the belts and replace them if they are very cracked or have little bits of rubber missing.

It mostly happens when it is colder, but also, it will do it for a very short period of time in the warmer weather.
