I Have a 2002 Explorer XLS, There is a ball bearing or rattleing noise , sounds like it is comming from my torque converter, and only on exceleration between 1st & 2nd and sometimes 3rd
has any one had this prob. ? 117000 km. 5R55W Trans

Say Tigger,
As I said before, I'm not a trans tech, but. I'd check the bolts to the flexplate, and the flexplate for any signs of cracking (some people call it the flywheel). If you don't see anything, ask around for a good service tech with a good history of honest work.
