bought the car 1 week ago ran great this morning wife was going to go to school and it wouldnt start i noticed the negative batt term was loose tightened it and it still didnt start removed both neg and pos side waited about 5 min and put them back and it started went to leave later that day got three miles down the road and it just shut off took batt terms off again and put them back on and got 3 miles back home turned it off in the driveway 5minutes later started it and it died 30 sec later only 37000 miles on it the theft light comes on even when the doors are unlocked any idea where it is so maybe i can[unhook it when it dies i took out the #18 fuse out of the fuse box next to battery and it will start then 5 or 6 min later start to idle down around 700 to650 rpm then all the sudden die then when it dies i turn the key all lights light up on dash but wont crank put system diagnostic on it from autozone and when its running everything passes no codes when it dies it wont link with computer say linking error any feed back would be greatly appreciated its a newer car i thought everything in the engine compartment is very clean and new looking

same thing happened to a chevy i used to own. you will most likely have to take it to a dealer to get into the theft system.

Have you tried another key? Sometimes just the chip in the key loses communication with the PCM and cause a no start.

Having the link error is weird. See if you can find another PCM you can swap with temporarily and see if thats solves anything. Then you can can go from there. My first thought was not enough fuel pressure, or bad pump.
