1987 Econoline van 6 cylinder silently went dead while driving - no warning, no noise. Managed to drift off to side of the road. Tried to turn over, but wouldn't.
Waited 10 minutes turned over and drove approx. 5 miles - did same again; waited 10 mins. drove 5 miles - did same again over and over for very long 25 miles to get home. Any ideas? Thank you so much for your help.

sounds like a clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump. replace filter first
