OK, I admit I don't know much about Fords, but this one really has me buffaloed. Decided to change the spark plugs in my wife's '99 contour (120k miles, 2.0). Pulled a spark plug wire off and found that the plugs are way down there submerged in oil - darndest thing I ever saw. Now if I pull a plug oil is going to run down into the cylinder. How do I change the plugs on this car?
Also, can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is on this model. I hope it's not in the gas tank. Would appreciate any help you guys can give me.

Found the fuel filter and replaced the valve cover gasket which was causing a leak onto spark plugs. Problem solved.
