I need some help with my wiring, connections from battery to starter solieond, then I have wire from starter I know that goes to starter soleiond, where does the other go? There both thick wires like the battery cables. Does anyone have any diagrams they can email me with the color codes ? I have a chiltons diagrams but cannot read them. Or a good free source for wiring diagrams.
I cant seem to find the simple ones free online, I'am restoring a 1967 ford Mustang.
I"ve done this a thousand times but somehow the connection to my brain got shorted.
My email nippersyard1@aol.com

Thanks

one cable goes from the stud on the side of the starter to the solenoid. the other cable is the ground from the bolt that mounts the starter at the engine/belhousing it goes to the negative post on the battery. the positive post of the battery is then attached, with a third cable, to the other large terminal of the solenoid. the small terminal is for the ignition wire. the fusible links should be attached to the battery side of the solenoid. good luck

I seem to have different colored wires to alternator than what's specified in a wiring diagram. The harness has one white wire, then theres two more black seperate wires. Then combo together of a black wire with a red wire with a big connector. The alternator has a red collar screw stud, a white collar screw stud, a black collar screw stud and two small seperate screw studs. I think who ever owed this before did not have the right colored wire, to wire it properly by the wiring diagram colors.
Boy what a mess. Any ideas anyone?
