I am having problems with my truck. I just got it the other day. I noticed that just pushing down on the gas pedal like a 1/4 of an inch causes the truck to shoot to 2,000RPM, and then it will stay there for about 10 seconds. This makes shifting unpleasant when you are driving. I also noticed that it runs great until it warms up, it has lots of power. As soon as it warms up it seems to want to fall on its face, kinda spits and sputters at low RPM's, only when its warm, when its cold its fine. I am not to familiar with Fords, but I am guessing maybe the throttle position sensor? But I don't know if that would cause the severe lack of power when it warms up. It has 111,000 miles on it. HELP ME, any help is appreciated, Thanks

I had the same problem in my 92 and it did turn out to be the throttle position sensor, but my check engine light was coming on too

I don't drive the truck very much, so I haven't messed with it yet, but I will tell you it has gotten worse, just recently the red engine light started coming on as well as the check engine which had been flashing on and off once in a while before, Now when I start it, it runs good for about 2 seconds and falls on its face, its like I instantly have to push the pedal down a 1/4 inch to maintain the same rpm, starting to run rich when the check engine light comes on. I need to have the codes read, i could count the flashes, but just don't feel comfortable doing that on my own, i will keep you posted on what I find out
