89 econoline shut off while driving - 9/11/2006 3:56:57 PM    Ironcross25   Posts: 1 Score: 0 Joined: 9/11/2006 Status: offline I have an 89 ford econoline and yesterday while driving it to a football game it just shut off. Let it sit for 5 min or so the it started up. drove about 1/4 or so then it shut off again. Let it sit started up let it idle. idled fine drove it about 1/4 mile and it shut off again. Has anyone had this problem or know what it could be?? It will turn over after it shuts off but wont start for about 5 min. right before it starts and runs it will run but really rough then stall. then it will fire up and go but not far.
