There is a super charger for the 4.0, I believe that BBK makes it.

As far as I know the BBK blower bolted right on in place of the stock intake manifold. It did, however, recomend running a pressurized fuel system. Of course, bigger injectors would help. I saw the article in minitruckin. Check out their website minitruckin.com, maybe you could contact them and they could give you more info.

hey guy if you want to really kick your ranger in the pants. go to a pick and pull and find a 302 ( check mustang Gts) and ask to get it. I am an engineer for the military and if you are going to school for working on vehicles you could prolly get some of your buddies to help you out and make it an after school project. trust me free labor helps. the motor should bolt right up. of course you will have a little fab work and allot of cleaning but i am sure you can figure it out and overcome. check it out! my old 93 use to tear up full size trucks at the sand pits and leave them in the dust on and off road. not to mention you could make her a sleeper. yea everything is not going to be online. go to race tracks and ask around, like when you go to pick up parts for your truck ask the guys behind the desk if they know sombody. who wants to pay full price and wait on hold with china with a question when you can talk to the guys a half an hour away who has the part cheap and has put it in before. any questions ask

They do make a bolt-on kit for the supercharger. There are actually about 4 brands that make on for the 4.0l/3.0l. Other bolt-on''s that i have found for my ranger are injector''s, injector rods, intake, headers, exhaust, ignition and other smaller accessories.

The eaton m62 is one of the supercharger options. The research i''ve found says it gives about 40-58hp gains and up to 60ft-lb of torque at the rear wheels. Although its quite costly at about $800.00.. =\  but its definately the power your looking for.. =)
