GROANING - 9/21/2006 10:57:56 AM    buzzlightyear   Posts: 5 Score: 0 Joined: 9/21/2006 Status: offline I have a question about my 1994 ford e150 conversion van, she has over 178,000 miles. Lately she's starting to groan just after she's started or waiting at a light or idling, she does'nt do it all the time. It does'nt seem to affect the drivability. Any ideas? by the way its a 5.8 engine Post #: 1

Try to wiggle the fan and see if it has any free play in it if it does it should be replaced.
