When I fill the car with gasoline now the needle goes past the full mark - extreme. Is there a way to fix this and how would I get to the gauge? thank you

It sounds like it may be the sending unit.

It is located in the tank.

You will have to drop the gas tank to replace it.

Thank you for your help. I wasn't sure if it was the sending unit. Although it registers so far to the right on full, it does move to the left as the gas is used.
