Ok, I have removed my fuel tank to replace what I think is a faulty pump. Everything has gone smoothly with one exception. The connector on the output line is different from the other connectors it has a green colored clip that just had to break into 3 pieces while I was removing it. Can anyone tell me if that clip is replaceable without buying a complete new fuel line. And why the heck do they use such lousy connectors and plastic tubing to begin with? Cost?? Would it be an issue to replace the entire line with a real fuel hose and clamps or is there a pressure issue. Are these clips a dealer only item that have to be ordered making a person wait a week for them or can they be had a local parts shops? Gotta love these new trucks! Until they need to be worked on...

You should be able to get these at the auto part's store.
When I replace ford filters I ask the for the clips too.

i'm pretty sure that you are going to have to replace the entire line they generaly dont sell the clips, and the ones you can get with the fuel filter won't fit the ones on the tank, sorry, but you should at least try and see if they can sell an indavidual clip.

I destoyed the stupid clips trying to reinstall my tank after replacing a bad float on my fuel sender.  I took a 3/4 fueline hose, one GOOD clamp over the sender end and one GOOD clamp over the end of the hose, absolutely no leaks.
