JMH -> RE: Come on, no Thunderbird owners? (5/7/2005 8:05:25 AM)

I have a 2002. Bought it new. Nice car. My dealers sucks. Garaged and expertly maintained, but have it in for a head gasket problem. Ford had similar problems with 1980s and 1990s models, along with trans problems. I really don't understand why Ford/dealer would be fighting me on the repair which should be covered under the warranty, as this was the most expensive car they sold in 2002. Get with the program Ford. I smell a law suit coming. As much as I like the car, especially in this weather with the top down, I may be the proud new owner of a Corvette by the end of May. I'm lucky enough to be able to afford a GT 40 but if Ford can't get it right with my T-Bird, why would I buy an expensive Ford high-performance car. I like to buy American or the world of convertibles in the higher end would be wide open to me with plenty of top-notch vehicles. I thought Ford was headed in the right direction. Maybe that's not so.
