When I shut off the ignition, my stereo stays on until a door is opened.
Is there any way to disable this annoying feature?

The reason I call it annoying is that I had an alarm & remote start
installed, and when I start 'er up, its great til it shuts down. The stereo
still stays on until a door is opened. Not a problem if Im headed right
out, but i have accidentally hit the start feature while in the house and
have had to go outside to open & close a door so I dont get a dead
battery in the morning..

I know someone is going to say just turn the stereo off when I get out,
it's a nice resolution to say, but we all know it wont always happen....

Any help would be appreciated.....

Try reading the owners manual. There is a procedure to disable this feature. I have an 06 Mariner (same thing). I turned it off too.

Already tried looking there, it just tells me that the radio is equipped with "Accessory Delay" and
what it does, etc... Nothing on how to disable it... What was the procedure for yours? wonder if
it will be the same or similar.... ???

You don't have to worry about the battery going dead by the morning. Once ignition is turned off, either the door will turn it off as you know, but also there is a 10 minute timer that will turn it off as well. I am surprised there isn't intruction how to disable this. Usually there is a way to.
