I just bought a 2004 Taurus SE, with a 3.0L engine. There is a problem with a droning/oscillating vibration in the gas pedal while driving. The pedal does not vibrate when the it is pressed while the car is in park. Also, the vibration does still occur when the car is coasting in neutral. Because of these points, I am led to believe that it is not caused by engine vibration. The car has been in to the dealership for servicing twice, and both times there was no improvement. The first time, they performed a TSB which called for a different bracket behind the pedal to alter the path of the pedal cable. The second time, they replaced wheel bearings. If anyone else has experienced this problem please let me know what was done to fix it. Or if you have any advice, that would be appreciated too. Thanks in advance.

I'd suspect the bracket that holds the cable jacket near the throttle body might be loose?
