I have a 2001 Windstar with the factory vhs rear entertainment system that does not work. I would like to remove it and put a dvd player in the center console. How do I remove the vhs unit and can I then hookup a dvd player? Thanks-Eric Post #: 1

RE: removal of VHS system - 12/17/2006 5:21:08 AM    Malibu Barbie Posts: 109 Score: 0 Joined: 12/7/2006 Status: offline Sorry, I don't know the correct answer, as I'm not familiar with your set-up, but if your stock head unit has the proper jacks and/or connectors, I would assume that you could go to a local shop that installs automotive DVD systems to purchase an adapter that plugs into your stock wiring harness, as well as a mounting plate.  If that's not possible, then the shop or someone else on this forum will hopefully help you with this issue.  I wish I could offer more assistance.  < Message edited by Malibu Barbie -- 12/17/2006 5:22:00 AM > (in reply to emj123) Post #: 2
