Thank you for all the info , just pick up the part and this is what they sold me ...a igniton cilinder with a set of keys ...so it will be a direct swap from the OEM cilinder ...only problem my OEM key comes with a chip in it ..will the truck start if I swap the cilinders ??? Im starting to think that it won't ....if this is the case I will need a rebuild set from Ford so it can work with my OEM key and chip .

I got the old cilinder out ...the piece that broke is the tip of the cilinder it self ...the part that Autozone sold me is close but not the same ,tomorrow I will go to the Ford dealer and see if they have that tip or I guess I will have to buy the rebuild kit , I will like to just replace the tip only on the old cilinder so I don't have to mess with re setting the chip in the key (transponder key is the name I found out) ....one more thing... is it possible to disassemble the original cilinder ???? I didn't see a way to do it ...Thankss!!
