I recently had to change the brakes on my 2005 (27,000mi) and now my cruise control is working off and on.  I suspect it has something to do with the brakes because when the cruise will not work if I tap the brakes and push the cruise button it will come on for a second but, then turn off right away.  Other times it will work for a few minutes but then just stop.  Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

your cruise should shut off when the brake pedal is beeing applied, it's a safety feature built into the cruse system,  as far as the other times it cuts out what is it doing exactly, are you accidentally pressing the brake pedal? are anybrake light bulbs burned out? burned out bulbs can make the sysem inop, also doe your horn work and does your air bag light stay on or flash, these could indicate a broken/breaking clock spring, also might want to check the wheel speed sensors for damage when the brakes were serviced.
