Gery Rig it, remove your old NSS and plug in to trucks harness and fix it so it is engaged.  Then just remember to not start it in drive.

Is this simply a wire that closes a loop when grounded? If so, you might be able to add a BOO like switch to your brake pedal. Put it ahead of the pedal instead of behind with a bracket. Then the truck will only start once you press the brake. It's not for me to ask why all the trouble.

there are 2 reason well actually 3.  One is that I like everything to work, second is once in awhile I will loan the truck to a friend to run errands and want to avoid any mishaps and the 3rd is I installed a remote starter but have yeat to hook up the last wire for the fear of it not toally being in park and off it will go when I hit the remote,  and as to the question about a loop I am not sure there are 3 wire on the plug on is the power coming in for the backup lights one is the out going and the 3rd I would assume is the NSS but I have no Idea how to make it work with 1 Wire
