I have an a Explorer 94 with manual transmission. I want to know what kind of fluid it uses. One guy told me that it uses fluid for automatic transmission. Is this true??? Another thing, 2 months ago i put in it fluid for manual transmission, is this bad?

(CORECTION) Yes, although its a manual trasmission, and if you have a two wheel drive model, then it does takes "Mercon-Type" automatic transmission fluid. If its a four wheel drive model, it takes fuild type (ZF S5-42)....I am assumming this is a manual type fuild type??
If you do have a two wheel drive model, and since you added manual-type fluild to the unit, I would suggest that you now completly drain the unit and refill it with the Mercon.
All of the above was found at (autozone.com) within the Repair Info. for your year and model truck
