I h=have a 2001 F250 4x4 V10 that is drinking oil. I can find no leaks, nothing in the radiator, engine runs great, nothing wrong with the PCV valve, took it to a certified Ford tech and he can find nothing wrong either. Any idea what the problem may be. Heard it throught the grapevine it might be the 5W20 synthetic oil???

How much oil is your truck drinking? Can you give us a qt. amount per mile? How does the exhaust look, does it puff out blue smoke? Blue smoke indicates oil burning. If possible, can you have your Ford Tech use a borascope to look inside the intake and the turbo. See if oil is leaking from the turbo. I only suggest the three following scenerios. Leakinng past the valve guides, not likely but possible. Leaking past the piston rings, maybe. Or again, leaking from the turbo. Good luck. Let us know what you find.

Duhhh, what am I thinking. No turbo on a V10. Anyone want to join me in smoking some crack???
