Survey -> Replace 3.73 Axles w/ 4.30 Axles? (2/26/2007 10:39:23 PM)

I have an '04 Excursion EB 4x4 6.0 PS with 7" lift and 37" BFG's. My stock ring and pinion is a 3.73 ratio. I want to install a set of 4.30 ratio axles from a donor truck. Will 4.30 axles from other years bolt in to my Ex? Will SD truck axles work? Evidently the dealer never offered the 4.30 ratio with the diesel option. (too low I guess) The aftermarket only offers 4.10 and 4.56 ratios. I am concerned that 4.10 will not be low enough and 4.56 will be too low. Anyone got any ideas?
