It depends on what, where and how I'm driving. I like automatic transmissions for heavier traffic or driving to work because I usually have a coffee cup in my right hand. If I'm driving a small car, a 4x4 or I'm in light traffic I prefer a standard transmission. Overall, I would have to say that I would rather have a standard transmission. The best thing about a standard is that my wife doesn't know, or want to know, how to know how to drive one.

i have had auto and manual tranny vehicles. Im 17, ive driven little speedy cars with a 5spd, and ive driven big slow trucks with both. I do like drivign most big trucks that are auto, just because i find it easier to do. My ranger is an automatic, and it would have been pretty sweet to get it with a 5 spd, but i took what i could get at the time. If i buy another car it will be standard, and a truck will probably more of a take what i can get. They both balance out as said before, traffic with a stick sucks, and driving an auto isn't as fun.
