So I washed the engine on my 94 PGT...and as it is typical when you wash an engine...it kinda ran crappy because everything got wet...but then, when everything dries out, everything should be fine, right?...WRONG! I drove it home (about 3 miles from car wash)....and it ran crappy all the way home...So I decided not to screw around with it and let it sit and dry til the next day...the next day...I opened up the hood (darn thing looks nice after a bath!)...and I noticed that a spark plug wire had come off the distributor...ooops!...so I drove it home on 5 cylinders...no biggy I was told. I started it up and it was fine...until it warmed up...now, when I hit the gas it stalls!...it idles fine...it's driveable, but I have to barely tap on the gas pedal, because if I step on the pedal, it stalls bad!...so, what got wet that would cause this?...once I step on it and the stalling is gone, I can floor it and it's fine...it's just that initial stepping on the gas that makes it stall...Throttle position sensor?...please note that it only stalls after it warms up...in the morning, it starts perfect and does not stalll at all, until it warms up a little....Some one Help...Thanks

Could be moisture under the distributor cap. It evaporates when it warms up and travels back up into the top of the cap as condensation.

Thanks for the reply...NOPE!...I opened the distributor and it is completely dry....a mechanic friend of mine told me to check the plug wires...I did...when I pulled them out, 2 of them came off  too easy, got busted...I then, replaced all 6 wires...no change...I did noticed that the car would idle kinda OK, but as soon as hit the gas it would stall even worse than before....I replaced the throttle postion sensor...no change...I kinda stuck my hand deep down the engine compartment  and juggled some connectors and....now it won't even start!!!...I know something got wet...That's all it is...but I guess I'm gonna have to go through each and every connector inside the engine compartment and make sure there is no water deposits or dirt/rust...process of elimination, I guess!
