i was wondering, if i disconnect the airbag module (looks like an ECU) would it disable the airbags completely? My truck is lifted (95 f150) and my airbag light is flashing. when i went to kill the airbag light, the module now beeps non-stop when u turn on the vehicle. im scared the airbag is going to randomly deploy so i just want to disable it ? and help is appreciated. THANK

How did you try and 'kill' the system warning lamp? It might be a good idea to have the DTC's read prior to disabling the diagnostic monitor, although unplugging the monitor will disable the tone generator..

The airbag won't deploy without the monitor connected.. But, the monitor also doesn't have memory capability for stored fault codes if powered down.. Handy to have pending codes for system diagnosis/repair.. But, you might try a battery disconnect to deplete the monitors backup power and see if the tone warning cancels with the bulb installed.. Although a fault/light would still be present, the system status should then be proved out with an air bag simulator in place during reactivation once the component fault is found and repaired..

If your car was in an accident then you will have to get your airbag control module reset. I had the same problem with my Ford and the dealer wanted $220 for the new module. I have sent my module to www.myairbags.com and they have reset my module for $55 with FREE shipping. I sent them my module and they had a fast 1 day turnaround and shipped it back to me and I had it back in a few days. I would recommend these guys to anyone. I have saved a lot of money !!!
