ok so things i've done and still no luck, changed the CCRM, changed the fuel pump driver module, checked the fuel pump relay, checked the inertia switch, checked all of the wiring, no shorts and no opens. Good from the fuse to the relay to the FPDM and to the PCM and to the pump. I get 9 volts to the inertia switch until i plug in the FPDM then it drops to 0.5 volts. No output from the FPDM to the fuel pump. The resistance of the fuel pump is about 5 ohms. If I jump the battery to the fuel pump real quick the car will start and idle til the gas runs out of the rail. Is there any way to hook up a different fuel pump to a 12 switched source or does it have to be connected to the FPDM and PCM. I know I'm kinda rambling but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Run a switched power source to the pump, just run it through a relay and I don't forsee a problem

Straight wiring eliminates the emergency cut-off in case of an accident. I'd look at the inertia switch better or straight wire and add a dash switch for emergency manual shut-off.

can i still wire it direct if it's an electronic returnless system? and can't i just run the 12 volt source through the inertia switch?

Yes. You'd likely be easier to bypass the switch if it's a problem.

i'm gonna use the switch i just don't know if i can wire the fuel pump direct and not have trouble with the returnless part

If done right - wiring around the emergency shut-off will affect nothing. It just won't shut the pump off in an emergency fuel-spill situation (in the event of a busted fuel line,etc.).

Have you tried replacing the switch with a decent used one?

the switch is fine. i want to try to bypass the fuel pump driver module. this is an electronic returnless fuel system. i don't know if that is going to mess the feed back from the pressure sensor? or produce too much pressure and mess something else up?

Oh. Yeah - you likely don't want to bypass the pressure controls for the pump - it won't run right then. The module likely changes the signal from the pressure sensor to a corresponding pressure signal to the pump. Straight wiring is not really even an good option for normal driving with an electrically regulated pump, but most pumps aren't rated for more pressure than the system can handle although if it's computer regulated you may end up pushing full pressure at idle instead of the pump being able to slow down -therefore it won't run right.
