i own a 90 ford ranger,and the previous owner disconnected the cigarette lighter,and i need to know how to reconnect it,as im installing a cb radio,with the cigarette adapter on it,any help will be useful.

gain access by removing the radio and reconnect it. It sould be just a slide on connector both B+ and ground.

the cig lightewr is actually located,in the ash tray,when you pull out the ashtray,the cig lighter is located on the left,and the radio,isnt the one that came with the truck.so do i still pull out the radio to reconnect the cig lighter?

i couldnt find any wire connection for the cig lighter on my truck,guess i have to take it to mechnic and have it done.thanks for the reply.

Is the radio stock? maybe somebody use the wire for it.

yes the radio is a stock radio,its a sony so im guessing they used the wire that suppose to be for the cig lighter,for the sony stereo,guess i will have to have someone profesionally install my cb radio,thanks for the replies.

Go to the fuse box and find the fuse for the cig. lighter. Take that wire and splice into it with another wire and route it up to the lighter. Then route a ground wire to it. should do the trick
