Hi all, I need help with 2 different problems. I have a 2002 f-150 4.6L Crew cab with 100k miles First issue is when I take off from a dead stop there is a noise coming from the rear of the truck that sounds like something is shifting or moving around. It is a deep solid thump. After moving the first time you never hear it again. It only happens when you go forward.Next, when I first start the truck in the mornings, it has a loud ticking noise coming from the engine area. After the truck warms up, the noise goes away. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

For the first problem, I'd look to see if there is anything loose on the brakes in the rear of your truck. For the second problem, how long does the ticking last? What part of the engine is it coming from (top, bottom, drivers side, etc.)? If you rev the engine, what happens to the sound? When did it start? Is there anything else you can tell us about it?

I do not see anything with the breaks however 1 of the shocks may be broke. the motor sound is coming from down below, and the ticking gets faster if you rev the engine. but goes away after it warms up.
