I took my 2003 F-250 Super Duty out 4 Wheeling through some mud the other day
and it filled the bellhousing with mud causing my torque converter seal to leak
I didn't notice it until I got back on the road and it wouldn't shift into 3rd or OD
and the OD light was flashing. I figured it was low fluid level causing it.
so I put it into 2nd gear and limped it home. removed the trans and replaced the torque converter seal. put the tranny back in. blew out all the electrical plugs and everything I could find that got mud & water into it.
but still It wont shift into 3rd or OD.
when i left off the throttle it seems to shift, but as soon as you apply throttle it it still in 2nd. I'm just not sure if I should look at electrical plugs, sensors, solenoids in the transmission or what.  any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well now I've Tried everything I can think of.
Vehical speed sensor in the rear axle.
the shift posistion sensor on the outside of the transmission
relays under the hood, fluid and filter change.
nothing has changed it one bit.
i'm trying the solenoid body in the transmission next.
hopefully it doesn't involve a rebuild.
oh well i'll let you know how it goes.
thanks for any info if anyone has any ideas?
