I have a 2002 V6 escape with close to 80,000 miles on it. On the way back from a long trip we were cruising along doing 65-70 and the check engine light blinked a few times. It was toward the end of our trip. we drove abour 1200 miles that weekend. While driving the car started to shutter, but once you let off the gas it stopped, only to do it again a few minutes later. It was toward the end of a tank of gas and the oil has been changed the week before. Now the check engine light is still on, but i drove it around the block and it doesnt seem to be shuttering anymore (that i can tell). Can anybody help me as to what could be causing this?

Have your codes read with an OBDII reader. Most auto parts stores will do it for free. It will tell you much and point you in the right direction. If you have Q's come back with the codes.
