Just had my tranny replaced on my 04 Freestar and now the cruise control no longer works.  Dealership states the tranny change should not have effected the cruise control and I have a totally different issue.  All fuses are good.  Any other suggestions where to look.  Need fix because I am traveling on vacation and driving without cruise control is a bummer.

Not sure what your problem is but I can remember a case where the transmission was replaced on a GM product and they forgot to connect a sensor on the transmissionn case. In that case the speedometer did not work neither so I would check with the people that replaced the transmission and have them check all the connections.
Make sure that they replaced it with the proper transmission also you could check with a Ford dealer and ask them where the cruise sensor is located.
Hope you get it fixed.
