Great Forum!! I am so glad I found it!   Unfortunately my 96 Taurus which has been a great car has a little problem.  The actuator rod that goes from the lock cylinder to the ignition switch is not connected.   I have the area tore down and can see where the actuator rod meets, but it is not connected.  Is there a pin or something missing in there?  I have about an inch gap to see in there at the junction of the two pieces.  How do I reconnect these two parts?  Do I have to remove the two peices and re-insert them?  What is the best way to get at them?  Do I need new rods?

Sorry for so many questions for my first post, but I promise to hang around and help others in areas that I am familiar with.  This is a new one on me.  I sure appreciate all the help I can get.  I have had a heck of a time trying to find the part(s), diagrams, how-to, ect. on this particular subject.  After 2 hrs of searching, I am reaching out to your expertise.   THANK YOU!!!!
