1998 Contour, where is the VSS?

I have a 1998 Contour 2.0L with an automatic. Where is the Vehicle Speed Sensor ? My speedometer is working on and off intemittently. Thought I would start with the VSS.

Found the VSS and replaced it with a new one, but I still have the same problem. My speedo works intermittent. Sometimes it will drop down to 0 and stay there, sometimes it will peg out at 130mph and stay there. Sometimes it works normally. Anyone have any ideas?
