I'm sorry I don't know much about cars. My 2003 Taurus has a "mysterious" transmission fluid leak. This has been going on for awhile. After the first couple occurances my husband changed the gasket/seal that is in the area of the front wheels even though he thought it looked fine. Didn't do it for awhile after that. Does it off and on. Will do it and we'll put in about 1/2 a qt. Seems maybe to do it after driving around awhile. I'm afraid to take it to the dealership for fear of needless "padding" of the bill and I don't know any good mechanics in the area. I drove it to my husband's work today and it seemed fine??????????? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or help. Thank you!!!!!!!
