Is anyone else having repeatative problems with their brakes? My dad is on his 2000 F-350 deisel and I think it is starting to turn him away from Ford. I was just wondering if all of the F-350's were like that or if he just got a lemon.

I hope not, but i fear you are right. It looks nice sitting in the driveway but thats not what trucks are meant for.

What kind of problems? just having brake problems is kinda vague..... If my junk is overheating and getting soft I would recommend Dot 5 synthetic brake fluid, If you go to a shop to have this changed you WILL have to tell the cheap crooks that is what you want or bring it yourself. You can also purchase the best brake pads you can find. this will help absorb the most heat possible without transfering into your brake lines. If it's vibration or shutter your getting, I'm guessing that would be a rotor or caliper adjustment problem. Good Luck finding someone to fix it right. Oh yeah, disc brakes are better than drum ...BUT the rotors and pads from the factory are cheap, cheap, cheap! don't Have them turned more than once.
Oh, Yeah ....if it's under warrenty the dealership will B.S. you with simple fixes so you'll trade it off or your warrenty expires so you'll be forced to actually pay some cash to have it fixed right. Lemons are rare...VERY RARE....nothing on a modern auto can't be fixed...you just gotta find the right mechanic willing to fix it right and not suck you in with the repeat business scam. The way I see it is they want you to return.....again, and again.

Hey your a maiden Fan ( so am I) , They can sum it up for you in one song ...Run To the Hills.

What's really making him mad is he has replaced the calipers twice in the 4 years that we have had the truck. And it still doesn't have all of the braking power that it should. The break lines have been bleed too so I dont think that is the problem.
