Hello,

I've owned my used 2001 Excursion Limited 4x4 (V10) for all of five days. Rank newbie in the 4x4 ways of the world.

Noticed that in very hard turns at low speed, and moderate turns at slightly faster speed, I feel / hear a loud regular "clunk" in the front wheels. Car was purchased from CarMax, so for the time being I'll assume (perhaps wrongly in the end I many find out) that the front end hubs/joints were checked.

Someone mentioned possibility that my hubs are either locked or not fully unlocked? If so, tell me how to check (no manual in the car..it's on order).

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Frank
