Years ago - way before I bought my 2002 Thunderbird - I got busted doing 112 mph outside of Baltimore in a yellow Cadillac Eldorado with a huge engine. The cop said he was doing me a favor by giving me a ticket for 112. He said I was doing over 120. Damn right I was!

That reminds me of a picture I saw once- it was one of those laser speed traps- the trailer that prints your speed out on a big LCD screen. it had a sign on top of it posting the speed limit at 55 mph, followed by "your speed: 167mph" for some reason, triple the speed limit sounds a lot less dangeres when it means 75 in a 25 than 167 in a 55.

One time, way back, I drove from San Antonio to Corpus in my Datson 280Z Doing well over 110MPH. I passed the truck pulling a boat like he was setting still. My girlfriend kicked the fuse box and knock off a wire I had jerririged to the fuel pump. As I stopped to fix it that truck I passed was being pulled over and tickited. Guess it was just luck

A friend of mine went from Corvallis to Deerlodge (128 miles) in about an hour and a half, including going through Missoula (the largest city in the area), in a Eagle talon twin turbo. said that he was lucky that he had a radar detecter about four times.
