Headers may help. If you don't care about emissions, not cats will definitely help.

Yeah, it depends on the emission standard, but what about stock cats w/o a muffler. If you are looking for more volume , have an exhaust shop cut of the muffler and weld in a press-bent pipe. I may have misunderstood though, do you even have a muffler now?

This does not matter much, but to a very small extent more air in can make the exhaust sound louder. Do you have a CAI? Something like a K&N FIPK can add 10HP to your peak HP and the intake noise is cool.

You should think about what you are doing ,, The cat pipe for you truck is worth about $1000 new. If you are in a emmisions state you will have some problems. On the other hand alot of the performance of the engine has to do with the cat. The 02 sensors read the oxygen levels before and after the cat to verify it is working. the conputer then adjusts the air fuel mixture based off of the diference between the 2 measurements. removing the cats willl cause your check engine light to come on and alot of running issues. I would make sure there is a programmer available to remove the cats from the truck before removing the cats.
