I have a 2001 escape,6 cyl auto, with 128,000 mls on it. I only bought this last year. Two weeks ago I had the tranny serviced, from the records I don't think it has ever been serviced before. The garage said they drained and replaced 2 quarts and added lubeguard, and also changed the spark plugs, and fuel filter as the emissions light had came on that morning and they suggested changing the plugs. Well it ran pretty good for 2 weeks only hesitated on me twice, then on my way home last week while going 60 mph it wanted to loose speed, the RPM's seemed to go up and down and it seemed like it was slipping out of gear. I parked it and went out today to test drive it again and the emissions light was on. Ford garage wants to do a complete flush but transmission garage said it might make things worse since it has never been serviced prior. I am sick about loosing so much if I trade it in as is. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thx
