I have no problems pulling any load or really giving it the gas. My problem starts when I leave a red light or stop sign and around 1500 to 1800 rpms the truck acks like I've cut it off. IT WILL DROP RPMS SO FAST AND COME RIGHT BACK UP. If it does this a couple of times, the engine light will come on. I've already replaced the timing sensor on the front right above the crank pulley. Need some help. John

It would be a big help to have the DTC read (Autozone ect.) and post the code..

I had that problem about a year ago. for me, it only happened when there was a lot of humidity (heavy fog, rain, etc...)

I think the shop said it was the mass air sensor.

He already said he replace the CPS.  Do you have an aftermarked chip installed?  I had problems with corrosion on the pcm terminals when I had a chip installed on my 95 and it would cause stalling and stuttering.

If you've got a 7.3L there's a recall on the CMP sensor. F7TZ 12K073 B is the part number.

I have had multiple issues with my 6.4 so far Ihad a new thermostste put in , a pse sensor and now she's in the shop again 85 miles later. 6773 miles on my beautiful Big Rig. I also have poor fuel milage 10 mpg.I don't pull much a four wheeler and boat and I sure don't baby her much. see if you can get a diagnostic done  P0196 seems to be my trucks favorite so far.I should have went with the V-10 never had a lick of problems with that "99" 180,000 miles and she still ran strong. I guess never isn't always better.

Good luck
