I just bought a 2003 Ford Expedition (2WD) with 47,000 miles. I'm not sure if its the old tires or worn out shocks but I can feel every bump and vibration in the road. I'm just looking for solution that will give me a better ride...a smoother ride. Any suggestions on tires, struts/shocks I should buy? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check the tire pressure before you spend any $.

I'm riding on the stock Continentals and the pressure is currently 35. Even when there are three or four passengers, which add weight and should make the ride smoother....in this case, it makes no difference. I'm not even sure how the suspension is set up on the 2003 2WD. Should I replace with new stock parts or go with aftermarket?

OK just a note.. Continental tires ride rough. I would suggest looking closely at your tires/ Do they look like they are Chopped. By chopped i mean if you run your hand across them do you feel a like a sawblade ripple effect. if so the tires are causing your vibration. most likely you have no worn parts on the suspention yet.

Do you feel the vibs more when you turn or just going in a stright line?
