hello, i have a 04 mustang gt with no cats and flow masters. it has a really nasty sound at 2500 rpm and i goes away at 3000rpms. the exhaust sounds like graspy like a tin can.

Sounds like you are talking about drone. A lot of after market setups cause drone at certain RPM's.

Yep, thats the drone, turn up the radio or change the exhaust, major tradeoff for performance and exhaust note.
